life is funny. hahaha. yea right. as if that was true hearty laughter. after all that fried food, hot weather and intense heat from certain happenings. its probably heaty laughter now.

anyway. i was reading an article on soccernet. jamie carragher. world class i tell u. played in 2 champions league finals in the last 3 years. one of the most consistent players. kept barcelona and chelsea at bay. overlooked in place of squad player with horrible hair styles wes brown, and hardly fit ledley king.

and now he wants to quit. the coach wants him to reconsider. funny aye. favouritism is something we can never truly abolished in this world, no matter how 'impartial' we proclaim ourselves to be. most people work their bloody socks off. not to be given a chance. and when they quit, people brand them a big time nut with major attitude problems.

funny thing that in this world nowadays. u think that people ll miss u when ur gone. but the world has since evolved. no one is indispensable anymore. they ll just get someone else. so u either get the cake but eat a little slice if ur lucky. or u get the cake and get ur face smashed into it.

and remember the saying that goes, 'no one cares how much you know until they know how much u care'. apparently, it doesnt go too well with two elements, time period and memory. over time, whatever is the extra mile to you, will become the basic expectation of the other. like take for example. one day, citizens paid for milk from a farm away from the city. the farmer who wanted to bring convenience to the people, decided one day that we would help them deliver the milk to the city gates instead. so the people were grateful and some even bought more milk. den after afew months of doing it, the farmer finally got tired out and decided he would stop delivering milk for awhile. the people in the city, had adopted this as a expectation and a norm of their daily lives. they forgot that wad the farmer did was a privilege and became annoyed that they now had to go to the farm to collect the milk and threatened not to buy anymore milk. funny how goodwill can be turned against u sometimes. so wad if they know that u care, but they start expecting u to care and expectation wipes out memory. they then fail to realise, that you caring in the first place was never an imperative but a privilege, a sign of goodwill and love.

perhaps we are like jamie carragher, a victim of our own versatility, our generosity to settle for a secondary role. or like the farmer, victims of going the extra mile.

perhaps this world lacks appreciation. but unless we let loose our stubborn nature, our bombastic egos, our eagerness for self gain and self profit, and live for the people around us, its just gonna be dog eat dog all the way. remember, this rat race only started cus all of us decided to be rats. the world war I only started cus someone chose to assassinate someone else. again, we come back to choice.

anyway. i realised the importance of propriety. hooked fingers. oooh! lets all be happy and pure. no matter how hard that is in reality.
